To everyone who came out to support on a work night in the rain, you have a special place in my heart, Thank you ♡.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this happen! Connor; you’re one of the most phenomenal human beings I have the pleasure of knowing, and I cannot wait to work with you again. Thank you for believing in my vision and helping me bring it to life! Thank you Kyl, for providing the musical vibrations for the evening. You knew exactly what I wanted, you’re integral in creating the immersive experience that I envisioned! EJ, what a star, thank you for documenting the night, it may just be the best night of my life so far. You make everyone feel welcomed and comfortable when you shoot, I do not take that for granted! ♡Ma, you’re my rock, my number 1 supporter, you’ve witnessed it ALL; the highs, the lows, the tears, and elation, oh my!♡
Roger what a Godsend, I only wish I’d captured more photos of the display during the day because of what you managed to do alongside my Ma and Connor, man, I’m so appreciative! Thank you, Rob, Alex, and the team at Bubba Oasis, for appreciating my artistry enough to lend me your space. It’s only the beginning but I will always remember your kindness.
This show has been a long time coming. Since I graduated in 2017, I’ve sought a space to showcase a body of work. Numerous projects later, a pandemic, and times I just didn’t have the funds, we’ve finally arrived - God made a way for it to finally happen!
A deep inhale, exhale, that’s what this exhibition was. An opportunity to close a chapter in my oeuvre and immerse myself in a new one; a chapter I had begun, but didn’t have closure with this body of work enough to delve fully into the expression I have been invested in for a while now. To clarify; as we develop, our creative expression does too. Just as a music artist releases a body of work in the form of an album, an exhibition is my album and it isn’t until that album is released for the world to experience that the next body of work is ventured into wholeheartedly (imo) ♡
Thank you for rocking with me so far, the journey is the destination and I’m so happy you’re along for the ride :). Achieving my main goal for 2023 is a true blessing; Praise The Most High, all of the glory is His! Here’s to 2024, may it be showered with blessings for us all!
